  • India’s manufacturing growth slowed in February as PMI dropped to 56.3 from 57.7 in January. Despite weaker output, demand, and new projects kept momentum strong. GDP growth remains slow, needing a strong final quarter to meet targets.
  • The Union Government has launched five pilot projects to deploy hydrogen fuel-based vehicles for trial as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. 37 hydrogen-fuelled vehicles, including buses and trucks, will be deployed for trial run under the pilot projects across the country.
  • Coal India’s auction prices remained flat in the January-March quarter despite increased buyer participation. There is no coal shortage in the domestic market, with 80 MT at pitheads and 51 MT stocked at power plants.
  • India’s FDI equity inflows dropped 6% YoY to $10.8 billion in October-December. Singapore, Mauritius, and the US were top sources. Services led investments, while non-conventional energy grew. Total FDI inflows hit $62.4 billion in April-December.
