Incorporated in 1964, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is a Maharatna PSU company engaged in the engineering and manufacturing of power plant equipment. Its headquarters are in New Delhi, India. 

Business Segment

The company operates in two primary segments:

  • Power Segment: is responsible for thermal, gas, hydro, and nuclear power plant businesses which manufacture steam Turbines, Generators, Boilers, and related components for fossil fuel applications
  • Industry Segment: supplies equipment to various industries, including Transportation, Transmission, Defence, Aerospace, Power, Renewables, Downstream oil and gas, Energy storage, and Electric mobility
  • Service Offered: are designing, engineering, manufacturing, erection, testing, commissioning
  • Industries Served: are power, transmission, industry, transportation, renewable energy, water, oil and gas, defence, and aerospace
