Stock delisting is the removal of securities of a listed company from a stock exchange. The of that company would no longer be traded on that stock exchange. There are two types of stock delisting:
- Forced delisting: Delisting of a company due to non-compliance with SEBI listing requirements or other legal issues
- Voluntarily delisting: Delisting by the company itself due to corporate restructuring. In this case, companies usually offer to buy back their shares from shareholders
