Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Thursday after US President Donald Trump’s tariff announcement. The Nifty 50 slipped 0.35% and the Sensex shed 0.42%. Nifty Pharma outperformed, rising 2.25%. In stocks, Vardhman Textiles soared 18.41% as the top gainer, while Persistent Systems dropped 9.86%, leading the losers’ pack.
