- Fitch Ratings is keeping India’s GDP growth forecast steady at 6.5% for FY26, thanks to the strength of its domestic market. While global economies worry about slowdowns and potential U.S. tariff hikes, India’s low export dependence keeps it relatively shielded.
- The Bank of Japan decided to keep its interest rate at 0.5%, just as experts expected. While Japan’s economy shows signs of growth, global trade tensions are making things uncertain. Other countries are thinking about cutting rates, but Japan is holding steady for now.
- A survey found that 34% of Indian families have at least one bank account they can’t access online due to KYC issues, login failures, or dormant status. RBI reports rising complaints, with grievances up 25% last year. According to media reports, this move might benefit Indian defence firms as EU defence OEMs may increase sourcing from India.
G R Ingraprojects secured a ₹4,263 crore order from NHAI to build and upgrade the Agra-Gwalior highway.
Vodafone Idea launched 5G services in Mumbai with unlimited 5G starting at ₹299. Partnering with Nokia, it aims to strengthen its network for high-bandwidth applications and expand 5G coverage nationwide in phases.
